Lectures are held for pupils, students and adults.
 
 
The program includes an introduction to the history and present state of Mykolaiv Astronomical Observatory, latest astronomical news, guided tour to museum of astronomy, visit to some telescopes.
 
 
Lectures are held by appointment.

Payment:
  • for a group of up to 10 persons -  UAH350  in the daytime,  UAH400  in the evening;
  • for a group of more than 10 people - UAH35 per person in the daytime, UAH40 per person  in the evening; and the group must not be more than 30 people.

Pluto’s Largest Moon, Charon, Gets Its First Official Feature Names
Legendary explorers and visionaries, real and fictitious, are among those immortalized by the IAU in the first set of official surface-feature names for Pluto’s largest moon, Charon. The names were proposed by the New Horizons team and approved by IAU Working Group for Planetary System Nomenclature.
IAU Set to Celebrate 100 Years of “Uniting the World to Explore the Universe”
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in 2019, the IAU will organise a year-long worldwide public engagement celebration under the theme “Uniting our World to Explore the Universe”. The first plans for the celebration were announced at the opening session of the Communicating Astronomy with the Public 2018 Conference in Fukuoka, Japan, the world’s largest gathering of astronomy communicators.
