On May 18, 2012, the director of Nikolaev Astronomical observatory, G. Pinigin took part in celebrations of a Science Day, which was held in Kiev. According to the decree of President of Ukraine ¹ 331/2012 for significant contribution to the development of national science, strengthening the scientific and technical potential of Ukraine, many years of hard work, G. Pinigin was awarded the Order "For Merits" of III degree. It is a recognition of the achievements of Nikolaev Observatory in recent years by all means.
